The 6th edition of the Cinemas d’Iran has set to present a panorama of contemporary Iranian cinema in the French capital of France.
To be commenced on June 6, the panorama will screen a selection of feature films, shorts and documentaries at the week-long event.
'Poets of Life' by Shirin Barqnavard, 'Ali Aqa' by Kamran Heidari and 'The Invincible Diplomacy of Mr. Naderi' co-directed by Maryam Moqaddam and Behtash Sanaeiha are among the Iranian documentaries.
'The Children of Heaven' by Majid Majidi, 'Pig' by Mani Haqiqi, 'I am Taraneh, 15' by Rasoul Sadr-Ameli, 'Kupal' by Kazem Mollaei, 'A Simple Event' by Sohrab Shahid-Saless, 'The Charmer' by Milad Alami and 'The Home' (Ev) by Asghar Yousefinezhad are among the features to go on screen during the program.
The shorts and animations 'The Dreams of Cooking' by Arvin Medqalchi, 'Retouch' by Kaveh Mazaheri and 'Animal' by Bahram and Bahman Ark are also in the lineup.
The Cinema d’Iran has been founded by French, Iranian and Franco-Iranian students at the Institut National des Langues et Civilisations Orientales.
This edition of the Cinema d’Iran is slated for June 6-12, 2018.
